Youth Chamber Chorus of the schola cantorum Weimar

In autumn 2015 the Youth Chamber Chorus was founded, which is part of the schola cantorum weimar. Currently we’re a girls Quartett and also part of the youth chorus of the schola cantorum weimar. The youth chamber chorus has already started to give its own concerts. Music videos are presenting the choir to the public. The youth chamber chorus consists of engaged young people who want to study challenging literature, to learn more about singing and to participate in the organization of concerts and projects. 

The schola cantorum weimar is the biggest children’s and youth chorus in Thuringia. Founded in 2002 it now has more than 230 members from 5-22 years singing in seven choruses according to their age. The choruses cooperate with the „University of Music Weimar“ and are touring Germany as well as foreign countries. Chorus camps over several days are highlights each year for a chorus member. Moreover the schola cantorum weimar is the organizer of the children’s and youth chorus festival „StimmenKlangRaum“ in Weimar. Childrens’s and youth chorus are sought after guests in operas of the „German National Theatre“ in Weimar, where they show their musical and acting skills.First and 2nd prizes in the leading German music competitions are showing the high quality of the choruses.

2015年秋、スコラ・カントルム・ヴァイマールのメンバーのうち4人が女声カルテットを立ち上げ、以来独自のコンサートを持つと同時にDVDを作成・販売している。メンバーそれぞれに若き感性を持って、より真摯な態度で音楽を学びコンサートのみならずいろいろな企画に挑戦している。スコラ・カントルム・ヴァイマールそのものは2002年にチューリンゲンにて発足した地域最大の青少年合唱団で、現在は5～22歳、230人のメンバーが年齢により7つの合唱団に分かれて活動をしている。これらの合唱団はヴァイマール音楽大学との協業し、ドイツ国内のみならず海外へも演奏旅行を企画・実施している。そのための年数回の数日間の集中練習合宿は年間行事のハイライトでもある。またこのスコラ・カントルム・ヴァイマールは、当市にて開催される青少年コーラス・フェスティル“Stimmen Klang Raum”を主催し、またヴァイマールを拠点としている”ドイツ国民劇場”でのオペラの上演に数多くの団員が招かれて、音楽・演劇の才能・技術を披露している。ドイツ国内でのハイレベルの音楽コンクールで金賞、銀賞を獲得していることは、この合唱団の高い資質を物語るものである。

Conductor
Sebastian Göring is the artistic director of the choir. Having studied orchestra and choir conducting, voice training, music pedagogy and computer science, he now internationally works as a conductor, juror and holds master classes.

指揮者セバスチャン・ゲーリンクはこの合唱団の芸術監督、オーケストラ、合唱、指揮、ボイスートレーニング、音楽教育学、コンピューター工学など多岐にわたり研さんを積み、現在は国際的に指揮者、審査員、マスタークラス開講などで活躍している。
